Medium Residential Garden 1: Free-form Plan

free-form garden plan The landscape : 1000 sq/m, level plot, facing north. Approx. 500 sq/m for the main garden w ith a large Pecan tree. Two narrow strips of garden on both sides of the house. The plot is overlooked by neighbours on one-side and bordering an open public place on the other. House owner’s request : A simple free-form garden including: Areas for kids BBQ area Relaxation corner Small orchard Main landscape architectural considerations : A large Pecan tree in the middle of the main garden casting shade. Creating privacy from the neighbours. The landscape plan : A free-form garden with a main lawn connecting the different activities of the garden. A small playground and a BBQ area close to the sitting patio attached to the house. A section of the lawn leading to a secluded vine covered pergola for relaxation. A vegetable garden on one of the side strips of the house. A path connecting the main entrance to the main garden.

Small Residential Garden 1: Formal Design

Formal landscape design At the request of the owners, the purpose of this garden was to create a formal garden with a touch of Tuscany. The landscape : 700 sq/m sloping, corner plot - facing south west. Approx. 300 sq/m reserved for the main garden. Plot situated below a main road and overlooking an internal neighbourhood road with a distant sea view. House owner’s request : A formal Tuscany-style garden, consisting of: A large shaded sitting and entertainment area A main lawn Main landscape architectural considerations : Three parallel doors exiting from the house to the main garden from the master bedroom, living room, and dining area. Creating privacy from the main road, neighbourhood road but keeping the sea view. Shaded sitting/entertainment area.
